China Southern Airlines passengers on domestic flights from Baiyun International Airport will be able to check in using BAGTAG starting mid-August.
The new bag drop system speeds up the check-in experience for travellers by allowing them to pay for and tag their own bags.
The trial will allow Ryanair passengers, staying at the Hampton by Hilton Edinburgh Airport hotel, to check-in their bags the night before their flight.
The ViewTag is equipped with RFID and BLE technology, and a digital display that shows the same flight information as traditional paper bag tags.

The self-service bag drop units reduce passenger check-in times, and are currently in use by a number of airlines at Heathrow Terminals 2, 3 and 5.
