Hamburg Airport has introduced a new service, Slot & Fly, enabling travellers to reserve a timeslot to access the security checkpoint. Passengers can book a 15-minute slot within 72 hours of departure, which means they can use a separate entrance to the security checkpoint. The service is available, regardless of airline, free of charge via the airport website.
“I am thrilled that we can offer all passengers this ideal addition to our self-service products, Slot & Fly,” said Michael Eggenschwiler, CEO, Hamburg Airport. “If you check-in online, use a bag drop kiosk for your luggage, and book a timeslot for the security checkpoint, you will get to the gate more quickly, even during the holidays. Slot & Fly is an important building block in our extensive catalogue of measures to provide passengers with a good start to their holidays.”
