Plaza Premium Group has opened its newest Plaza Premium Lounge at Budapest Airport. The facility is located in the SkyCourt and covers an area of nearly 107 sqm. The 40-seat lounge offers a wide range of services, including special magazines, on-screen entertainment, and great Hungarian cuisine, alongside an international gastronomic offering.
This is the eighth lounge to open for passengers at Budapest, but Plaza Premium is the first international company to operate at the airport.
Chris Dinsdale, CEO, Budapest Airport, commented: “We are working hard every day to make Budapest Airport a worthy gateway to the country for passengers arriving in and departing from Hungary. In recent years, together with our airline partners, we have become a key player in the development of tourism in Hungary and Budapest, and our primary goal is to maintain and strengthen this role, by continuously improving the quality of our services and the satisfaction of our passengers.” He added: “One of the important steps in this is the opening of the Plaza Premium Group’s lounge, where every guest can find their preferred form of relaxation among the premium services and can have a pleasant time waiting at the airport.”
Okan Kufeci, Regional General Manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Management, Plaza Premium Group, added: “The opening of our first Plaza Premium Lounge at Budapest Airport presents very exciting opportunities for the Plaza Premium Group, as we continue to grow our footprint in Europe. Confidence is building, passenger numbers are regaining impressive growth, and the Plaza Premium Group’s ambitions to extend its 360-degree, world-class airport hospitality services and facilities in Europe are on track. We look forward to delivering our award-winning, best-in- class signature hospitality, including Airport Lounge, Airport Meet & Greet, in-Terminal Airport Hotel, Airport Dining and other premium airport services across more airports in Europe in the months to follow,”
In line with Budapest Airport’s COVID-19 measures, the Plaza Premium Lounge’s We Care For Your Wellbeing programme helps to maintain privacy and social distancing, with comfortable seats spaced further apart, non-contact hand sanitizers, continuous disinfection of the lounge area and air purification, strict disinfection procedures and masks worn by all lounge staff.
