Travellers flying from three more US airports can now pre-order food and drinks via their smartphone following the expansion of the Grab app to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Denver International Airport and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. Passengers can use the app to view menus and pre-order and pay for F&B, so it is ready for collection post-security.
The app-based pre-ordering service was already available at 27 restaurants at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, but the launch at the three new airports extends its footprint to a further 25 airport restaurants thanks to its partnership with Delaware North.
Grab says plans are already in place to expand to over 200 restaurant partners across 17 airports in the next few months.
“We are excited to extend Grab’s mobile capabilities in these new markets,” said Mark Bergsrud, the company’s CEO. “It is our aim to improve the airport travel experience. We are giving passengers the resources they need to save time, and easily find the amenities they need when they need them.”
