Passengers travelling through Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 5 can now access a new independent lounge and spa, which includes rest pods, quiet zones, work areas, luxury spa treatments and British-inspired cuisine.
Jointly operated by Airport Lounge Development Inc. and Swissport, the lounge, called “Aspire, the Lounge and Spa at LHR T5”, is open to all passengers, regardless of airline or class of travel, for a fee. Priority Pass and Priority Pass Select members can access the facility for free.
Located near Gate A18, the lounge space features large windows on two sides offering runway views, while the spa treatments are provided by Bliss, marking the company’s first airport venture.
Stephen Wilkinson, Property Director at Heathrow Airport, said the airport is “delighted to provide a new lounge experience for travellers with the opening of the terminal’s very first independent lounge”.
The opening of the shared use lounge follows last year’s introduction of a business centre in T5, which provides business travellers with access to Wi-Fi, workstations and meeting rooms.
