Swedish airport operator Swedavia has updated its mobile app, which now includes a number of new features to help simplify the passenger experience.
As well as adding real-time gate and boarding information, Swedavia has added a new function that tells the passenger the estimated arrival time of their baggage. Another new feature is the travel planner, which offers information on public transport links to and from the airport.
Michael Persson Gripkow, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer at Swedavia, said: “We have updated the app based on passengers’ wishes for quick access to this kind of information wherever they are at the airport. Above all, it will make it easier to visit our large airports, Stockholm Arlanda Airport or Göteborg Landvetter Airport.”
The updated Swedavia app also includes a link to the new The Local’s Guide service, which offers travellers inspiration on places to visit during their holiday.
At FTE Europe 2014, Lean Rökaas, Chief Operating Officer at Swedavia-operated Stockholm Arlanda Airport, will take part in a session exploring differentiating the passenger experience in Europe. Senior representatives from Ryanair, TUI and Aer Lingus will also participate in this session.
