Milan Malpensa deploys Bluetooth passenger tracking
Amor Group’s ChromaACDB has been installed at Milan Malpensa Airport to measure queuing times by tracking passengers’ Bluetooth mobile phone signal.

SEA, the operator of Milan Malpensa Airport, has gone live with a new Bluetooth queue measurement system to help manage queues at key checkpoints.

The airport operator has partnered with Amor Group to install the ChromaACDB (Airport Collaboration Database), which provides automatic monitoring and measurement of journey and queuing times by tracking passengers’ Bluetooth mobile phone signal using BlipTrack software.

Giorgio Medici, Head of Customer Care at SEA, said: “Implementing passenger tracking technology will enable us to deliver a premier passenger experience within our terminals whilst allowing the airport to manage our resources effectively, in line with real-time passenger demand.

“ChromaACDB and BlipTrack will give us a clear picture of passenger movements, allowing us to provide the best service we can and proactively manage service levels before any issues arise.”
