Edinburgh Airport is to install eight computed tomography (CT) scanners, supplied by Smiths Detection, meaning passengers will no longer need to remove electronic devices, liquids, and gels from hand baggage.
New CT security scanners are being put into operation in Munich Airport’s Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, meaning passengers will no longer have to unpack their laptops and liquids for “fast processing and convenience”.
Hamburg Airport has introduced a new service, Slot & Fly, enabling travellers to reserve a 15-minute timeslot to access the security checkpoint. The service will streamline the security process for passengers.
The TSA and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport are installing new CT scanners at TSA checkpoints, making the security experience “more efficient and less stressful” for passengers.
