Avalon Airport is set to become the first airport in Australia to implement self-service check-in and bag drop in partnership with Elenium Automation.
American Airlines has introduced passport chip scanning to its mobile app, allowing passengers to scan their passports and verify their details.
Japan Airlines has announced it will progressively implement self-service bag drops and facial recognition technology at Narita International Airport.
Passengers can now use the airline’s WhatsApp channel to check their flight status, obtain general information about their trip, and check-in.
