REDEFINING THE END-TO-END PASSENGER EXPERIENCE AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
Changi Airport – a Headline Partner of FTE APEX Asia Expo, Singapore, 19-20 November 2024 – has welcomed completion of the new baggage handling system in T2 by BEUMER (a Strategic Partner of the FTE BIWG).
FTE’s Head of Baggage Transformation Darin Juby identifies the key trends that will help transform the baggage experience in 2024 and beyond, including bag tracking, robotics, automation and sustainability.
Eurowings has entered into a five-year contract with SITA – a Strategic Partner of the FTE Baggage Innovation Working Group – to deploy SITA Bag Journey for real-time tracking information of passenger bags.
Heathrow Airport has agreed a deal with BEUMER Group – a Strategic Partner of the FTE Baggage Innovation Working Group – to design and install a state-of-the-art new baggage system in Terminal 2.
Avinor and Vanderlande – both members of the FTE Baggage Innovation Working Group – have formed an innovation partnership to explore ways of fully automating the last mile of the baggage handling process.
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, an Airport Lab Network Partner of the FTE Baggage Innovation Working Group, has purchased 30 new lifting aids as it continues to improve working conditions in the baggage hall.
