Fraport has launched a new online and app-based shopping service, and plans to introduce a delivery service to Frankfurt Airport’s departure gates.
The new app, “Ida”, has been developed to enable Virgin Atlantic to showcase its end-to-end premium travel experience via mobile and wearable devices.
The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Mumbai T2 App uses augmented reality, beacons and push notifications to improve the passenger experience.
The Apple Watch compatible Brisbane Airport app offers passengers easy access to flight status updates, Digital Departure Cards and their car park location.

Interactive indoor maps are now available at seven of United’s US hubs, while beacon-enabled wayfinding is being tested at Newark Liberty International Airport.
