Future Travel Experience (FTE) has announced that United Airlines has become the latest carrier to join the FTE Innovation & Startup Hub.
FTE spoke to Head of Viva Air Labs Clyde Hutchinson who shared the airline’s ambition to become “the world’s first open data airline”.
Southwest Airlines has joined the FTE Innovation & Startup Hub as a Corporate Partner, becoming the eighth corporate member.
Ten startups will be selected to exhibit in the Startup Showcase at FTE Ancillary 2019, 18-20 June, Istanbul – apply by Friday 12 April.
The new KrisLab will enable the airline to embrace digitalisation in all aspects of its business operations through collaborative partnerships.
Startup SkyBuys allows passengers at Sydney Airport to pre-order goods, save items to a wish list, monitor deals, and receive their ordered items at the airport.
The key areas of focus are enhancing the passenger experience, improving operational efficiency, identifying non-airline revenue sources and decreasing costs.

The four startups will now exhibit in the Startup Showcase, hosted in partnership with JetBlue Technology Ventures, at FTE Asia EXPO in Singapore.

The top four startups will be invited to exhibit and pitch at FTE Asia EXPO 2018 (13-14 November, Singapore). Deadline for entries: 19 October 2018.
Vantage joins the likes of JetBlue Technology Ventures, Gatwick Airport, WOW air, Hamad International Airport and Hong Kong International Airport as a Corporate Partner.
Five companies have been welcomed into the airport’s innovation lab: Baggage Nanny, FreedomPark, ParkConnect, TravelCar and VARK.
The four startups will now exhibit in the JetBlue Technology Ventures Startup Showcase at Future Travel Experience Global 2018, 10-12 September, Las Vegas.
The 150+ startups and scaleups can engage with the FTE Startup Hub Corporate Partners, including major airlines and airports.
