The FTE Airline/Airport Transformation Power List EMEA 2022 will champion the most transformative digital change enablers within the airline and airport industry in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for their outstanding efforts to lead how their organisation has embraced innovation in order to recover and thrive following the wide-reaching impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The FTE Transformation Power List aims to shine a light on those who are pioneering new approaches that have the potential to improve travel for passengers and make the industry safer, more efficient and commercially successful. In recognition of their leadership and achievements, each member of the Power List will receive a complimentary “Golden Ticket” to our FTE EMEA mega-event, taking place in Dublin on 7-9 June 2022. The FTE EMEA networking reception will provide the venue for us to announce and honour our winners, amongst industry friends and colleagues. C-level executives from airlines and airports in the EMEA region (including Chief Information Officers, Chief Digital Officers, Chief Innovation Officers, Chief Transformation Officers, etc.) will be considered for the Power List, which will be decided by an independent panel of judges.

The FTE World Airline Ancillary Award – open to all airlines around the world

The FTE World Ancillary Award will recognise the most pioneering airline that has tapped into digital advancements to create new ancillary revenue streams across the end-to-end journey – from booking, check-in and the airport experience, to on board the aircraft and following the passenger’s arrival at their final destination. The winner will be announced at a special presentation ceremony during the FTE Dublin networking reception at the co-located FTE EMEA, FTE Ancillary & FTE World Airport Retailing shows on Wednesday, 8 June at 17:30 BST.

The FTE World Airport Retailing Award – open to all airports around the world

The inaugural FTE World Airport Retailing Award will recognise the most pioneering airport that has continually embraced technology to shape its airport retail proposition and drive commercial innovation. The winner will be announced at a special presentation ceremony during the FTE Dublin networking reception at the co-located FTE EMEA, FTE Ancillary & FTE World Airport Retailing shows on Wednesday, 8 June at 17:30 BST.

The FTE Startup Innovation Award

The Startup Zone at the co-located FTE EMEA, FTE Ancillary and FTE World Airport Retailing Summit events will be the biggest in FTE’s history, bringing together a selection of the industry’s most pioneering startup companies from around the world. All attendees will have the opportunity to vote for the startup they think has the potential to have the biggest and most positive impact on the air transport sector in the years to come. The startup that receives the most votes will be presented with the FTE Startup Innovation Award in front of their industry peers in Dublin.

APEX Passenger Choice Awards

The APEX Passenger Choice Awards® (PCAs) recognise excellence in seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage, entertainment and Wi-Fi. Our Headline Partner, the Arline Passenger Experience Association will be honoring all 2022 Passenger Choice Award® ‎airlines at a special presentation ceremony during the FTE Dublin networking reception at the co-located FTE EMEA, FTE Ancillary, FTE World Airport Retailing & APEX Content Market shows on Wednesday, 8 June at 17:30 BST. For the 2022 awards, APEX certified over 1.2 million flights that were rated by passengers across over 600 airlines from around the world.
