Carnegie Robotics
Carnegie Robotics is one of the nation’s first robotics and autonomy technology providers; serving global leaders in agriculture, construction, mining, marine & military. Thoro.ai, a Carnegie Robotics spinoff, is a leader in autonomous mobile robots designed for commercial and industrial applications. They developed the world's first safety-certified autonomy technology for commercial floor cleaning. Over 1,000 units are in use across the world – and some of the first units (4 total) were placed at Pittsburgh International Airport.
Formlogic
Formlogic's autonomous manufacturing technology provides rapid precision components for space and frontier industries. Their technology has automated the intricate hands-on work at the machine, allowing expert machinists to work remotely, resulting in a 10x increase in productivity.
Gecko Robotics
Gecko Robotics has built the world’s most advanced ultrasonic inspection robots for understanding the current condition of critical infrastructure. Gecko combines wall-climbing robots with an AI-powered data platform to provide a unique window into the current and future health of physical assets.
Mill19
Mill19 is a former steel mill, now completely revitalized into a 265,000 square-foot complex that houses Carnegie Mellon University’s Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) and Manufacturing Futures Institute, autonomous vehicles technology companies, and more.
Oshkosh
Oshkosh is a global manufacturer of innovative specialty trucks, military vehicles, fire apparatus and other mission-critical equipment, with its Pittsburgh innovation center focusing on autonomous vehicle development. They recently added Oshkosh Aerotech to their suite of equipment and services. The AeroTech group provides equipment for the aircraft apron, such as Jetway Passenger Boarding Bridges and other aircraft ground support equipment.
