Future Travel Experience (FTE) took its airline retailing content to the next level in 2023 and 2024, supported by an important partnership with Eric Léopold, Founder & Managing Director, Threedot. Building on that, we are delighted to announce that Eric will once again be Content Director for APEX FTE Ancillary & Retailing 2025 (Dublin, 10-12 June), bringing his unique perspective on the evolution of airline retailing and ensuring we deliver our best agenda, and attendance, yet. He will also support an expanded commercial content offering at APEX FTE Asia Expo 2025 (Singapore, 11-12 November).
Eric is a long-time friend to FTE. Prior to launching Threedot – a strategy consulting firm for the travel industry supporting clients with their digital transformation and go-to-market strategies and working on new ventures – he had a 15-year career with IATA, focusing on strategy and transformation, while leading efforts on important initiatives such as NDC & Simplifying the Business, and key events including the World Passenger Symposium & World Financial Symposium.
“I am delighted by the outcome of the 2024 edition of APEX FTE Ancillary & Retailing, and grateful to all the speakers, participants and sponsors who made it a resounding success,” says Léopold. “APEX FTE Ancillary & Retailing is the must-attend annual meeting where innovators showcase their latest developments, where leaders share their vision and where all partners contribute their use cases. I am excited to continue working closely with FTE to help accelerate the industry’s transition to airline retailing and ultimately improve the travel experience. As every year, we will be amazed by the presentations and discussions, and we will go back to our offices full of energy and ideas. I also look forward to contributing to the important, increased focus on commercial content at APEX FTE Asia Expo in the dynamic APAC region. See you all in Dublin and Singapore!”
Under the theme of ‘Innovate to Elevate’, APEX FTE Ancillary & Retailing 2025 will challenge attendees to think beyond the status quo, focusing on harnessing creativity and innovation to take ancillary & retailing performance to new heights. The APEX FTE Ancillary & Retailing conference agenda will deep dive on the needs of travellers going forward and how the sector should adapt and leverage technology to take commercial performance to the next level. It will feature insights from industry leaders, technology giants, disruptors, parallel industries and startups, with a diverse range of keynotes, case studies and panel discussions.
Meanwhile, APEX FTE Asia Expo 2025 – themed ‘Accelerating Innovation’ – will focus on innovation, technology, digital transformation, retail strategies, and commercial growth in the rapidly evolving aviation sector in the APAC region.
“We are thrilled to be collaborating with Eric once again, not only in his capacity as Content Director of APEX FTE Ancillary & Retailing, but also with his support in delivering an enhanced ancillary & retailing focus at APEX FTE Asia Expo,” says Daniel Coleman, Founder & CEO, Future Travel Experience. “A commercial focus is absolutely central to the FTE portfolio with key focuses at each our events, alongside the expansion of the FTE World Ancillary & Retailing Working Group in 2024. Optimising commercial performance has never been more important and we want to go even further to help the sector establish creative new ways of working together collaboratively to create more revenues for all to share in through our events and communities, and I welcome Eric’s continued invaluable contribution to these efforts.”
