How ALBA Robot’s fully autonomous robotic wheelchair tech is advancing accessibility and inclusivity at airports

ALBA Robot is committed to delivering ‘Mobility-as-a-Service’ for all, transforming the way people move in indoor and pedestrian environments. FTE Global – the “CES of Aviation” which took place in Long Beach, California, on 28-30 October 2024 – was ALBA Robot’s official U.S. launch (West Coast), where the company showcased its fully autonomous robotic wheelchair for the first time. In this video interview, following his participation at FTE Global, Daniel Chiaravalli, North America Managing Director, shares how ALBA Robot’s breakthrough technology is advancing accessibility and inclusivity across various facilities, including airports. By offering fully autonomous personal mobility robots, ALBA aims to not only provide seamless transport for individuals with reduced mobility, but also help address personnel shortages. “We are helping people with reduced mobility become more independent and have a better quality of life using self-driving personal mobility vehicles,” Chiaravalli explains. “We offer our B2B service for facilities such as airports. We are excited to be launching our ticket scanning capability, which scans your paper boarding pass or QR code and calculates the location of your gate, the time to get there, and because it’s a connected vehicle it also processes any changes in real-time.”
