United Airlines Live Activities are now available on Apple Watch, making it even easier for travellers to access important, real-time flight details at a glance right from their wrist. This new feature follows the rollout of Live Activities for iPhone last year, which enables travellers to access their boarding pass, gate and seat number, and countdown clock to departure in real-time on their iPhone Lock Screen or in the Dynamic Island, all without opening the United app.
Here’s how United Live Activities work on Apple Watch:
- Travellers can find Live Activities in the Smart Stack on Apple Watch.
- With a quick glance at their Apple Watch, United fliers can access key flight information in real-time, like countdown to boarding, gate number, seat, baggage carousel and more.
- Fliers will see flight details update on their Apple Watch throughout their travel journey – offering the most relevant details when they need it.
- They can tap the Live Activity notification to open the United app at any time.
United has launched Live Activities for Apple Watch as part of continuous efforts to leverage technology to improve customers’ travel journey. Support for Live Activities is rolled out to United travellers with Apple Watch running watchOS 11.
