Pegasus Innovation Lab launches first project – AI-powered multi-lingual announcements to enhance CX

Pegasus Airlines – a Corporate Partner of the FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub – has introduced AI-generated multilingual announcements. Hear more from Pegasus at FTE Global, Los Angeles, 28-30 October 2024.

Pegasus Airlines – a Corporate Partner of the FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub – has introduced Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated pilot announcements in Spanish, Arabic and Russian. The multilingual project to further enhance the customer experience is the first project launched by the Pegasus Innovation Lab. Flights to Spanish, Arabic, and Russian-speaking countries now feature AI-generated announcements in the respective local language, following the English version.

The Pegasus Innovation Lab, which was established last year in Silicon Valley to spearhead new technologies and innovations in the aviation sector, developed this project, which harnesses AI for voice cloning and multi-language announcement systems. The system clones the voices of male and female Pegasus captains to create dynamic multilingual announcements tailored to each flight.

The announcements share details such as flight information, weather, destination, the captain’s name, and flight duration, all updated via AI before take-off. With this project, Pegasus aims to offer travellers a personalised and innovative flight experience by addressing them in their native languages.
