Air Arabia and Panasonic Avionics announce inflight wireless entertainment agreement covering 172 aircraft

Air Arabia and Panasonic Avionics have announced an agreement for the installation of the eXW wireless IFE solution across 172 aircraft, delivering a premium experience to passengers’ personal devices.

Air Arabia and Panasonic Avionics have announced an agreement for the installation of the eXW wireless inflight entertainment (IFE) solution across 172 aircraft.

The agreement extends an existing program with six A321LRs already flying with Panasonic Avionics’ eXW solution to include Air Arabia’s Airbus A320neo, A321neo and A321XLR fleets.

eXW is designed to deliver a premium experience to Air Arabia passengers’ personal devices. The wireless entertainment available to passengers will also feature a suite of digital solutions from Panasonic Avionics, including its Arc Moving Map, Insights Data Analytics and OneMedia Advertising services. Arc, Panasonic Avionics’ integrated moving map application, is designed to enrich CX by providing a seamless map experience.

“We thank Panasonic Avionics for their support as we expand the existing inflight wireless entertainment system on our A321 fleet to include the entire Air Arabia’s current and future fleet,” said Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer, Air Arabia. “This step not only showcases our commitment to investing in cutting-edge, value-driven solutions, but also aims to further enhance the onboard experience we offer our customers. Through our eXW-backed ‘Sky Time’ portal, our customers can continue to enjoy personalised content streamed on their personal devices, further enriching their journey while flying Air Arabia.”

Insights Data Analytics delivers information and intelligence designed to enable airlines to provide the most relevant and desired onboard offerings and uncover opportunities that maximise the return of their investments in IFEC and digital experiences. Meanwhile, OneMedia Advertising services is Panasonic’s advertising platform used to create, manage, deliver, and analyse advertising campaigns on its customers’ aircraft.

“Air Arabia is renowned for its ability to blend comfort, reliability, and value for its customers, and we are very excited to work with them as they implement an impressive digital strategy that will even further enhance their brand value,” said Ken Sain, Chief Executive Officer, Panasonic Avionics Corporation. “Wireless IFE remains a critical component of many airlines’ strategy. eXW will create a unique experience that combines passenger entertainment, digital apps, and onboard retail into a truly unique passenger experience with a competitive total cost of ownership and a compelling ROI.”
