Munich Airport is offering Chinese travellers personal shopping assistance free of charge in Terminal 2. Chinese-speaking shopping assistants aim to break down language barriers and make it easier for Chinese travellers to enjoy their time at the airport. With 24 weekly flights from China to Munich, travel between Shanghai and Beijing and Munich is back in full swing.

The assistants can also help Chinese guests with additional questions about security checks, customs clearance and VAT refunds. This service is provided by Terminal 2 Gesellschaft, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Munich Airport, which is continuously developing the passenger experience. Shopping assistants can be contacted on the spur of the moment at the airport or booked in advance.

“We are delighted to be able to welcome more passengers from China again and to offer them this exclusive service in our terminal,” said Ivonne Kuger, Managing Director of Terminal 2 Gesellschaft.
