Future Travel Experience (FTE) is delighted to announce that Dublin Airport (DUB) is once again a Headline Partner of the co-located FTE EMEA and FTE Ancillary & Retailing events, taking place in Ireland’s vibrant capital city on 11-13 June 2024. DUB was also a Headline Partner of FTE’s best-ever event in Europe in 2023, which attracted some 650 registrations from senior executives in 55 countries in every corner of the world.
“FTE returns to Dublin – the ‘Silicon Valley of Europe’ – with a mega-event that will inspire attendees from around the world on the latest digital, customer experience and commercial approaches,” says Daniel Coleman, Founder & CEO, Future Travel Experience. “So, we are delighted to welcome DUB – undoubtedly one of Europe’s most progressive and innovation-focused airports – as a Headline Partner. Like FTE, Dublin Airport has a laser-focus on driving ‘Customer-Centric Innovation’, which is our event theme, and we look forward to collaborating closely again to deliver the definitive end-to-end air transport innovation show in the region.”
daa Group – operator of Dublin Airport – is “Thinking BIG in airports” with its future plan centred on “Basics, Innovation and Growth”. Innovations include a major focus on the touchless journey, with just one example being the recent opening of a frictionless, checkout free retail store using innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The airport also recently enhanced its U.S. pre-clearance facility with the launch of a Mobile Passport Control app, so travellers can complete part of the immigration process digitally to further streamline CX.
Sustainability is also at the heart of daa’s strategy. This month it launched a 20-point plan to accelerate environmental sustainability ambitions at Dublin and Cork airports. Making Dublin Airport diesel free by powering vehicles with Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil is just one initiative announced as part of the plan, alongside making the light vehicle fleets at both Dublin and Cork airports 100% electric by the end of 2024.
FTE EMEA and FTE Ancillary & Retailing attendees will learn more about key innovation and sustainability efforts, with DUB, as a Headline Partner, featuring prominently in the strongest conference agenda yet.
“We are very pleased that FTE is returning to Dublin and that Dublin Airport will be a Headline Partner of this industry-leading event,” says Kenny Jacobs, daa’s CEO. “FTE plays an important role driving collaboration and sharing best practice across the aviation industry. We look forward to engaging with like-minded stakeholders at FTE EMEA and FTE Ancillary & Retailing to help transform how our industry operates. The learning and networking opportunities will help move our industry forward by sharing technological solutions to developments in customer experience, advances in operational efficiency and actions to address sustainability challenges for both airports and airlines alike.”
