TAP Air Portugal will allow passengers to upgrade to business class seats 24 hours before flying.
Passengers will be able to bid for an upgrade 24 hours before the flight through a real-time auction in partnership with SeatBoost, a North American software company which lets passengers buy more comfortable seats up to 60 minutes before departure.
The customer with the highest bid will be upgraded. The winner is notified directly via the app and automatically receives a new boarding pass.
Auctions are available for all TAP flights that offer Business class and are subject to seating availability. Each auction can be monitored live through the SeatBoost app.
