Malaysia Airlines plans to have the new A330-300 Business Class seat installed on all of its A330-300s by September 2016.

Malaysia Airlines has unveiled its new A330-300 Business Class seat, which will be introduced from April 2016. Each of the 15 A330-300 aircraft in the carrier’s fleet will be fitted with 27 of the new seats by September 2016.

The seat is 20.6 inches wide and will be pitched at 43 inches, with a fully flat length of 76 inches. Configured 1-2-1 and 1-2-2, 90% of the seats will offer direct aisle access. Business Class passengers will also be able to make use of increased working space, extra stowage space for personal items, a 16-inch Panasonic Avionics in-flight entertainment (IFE) monitor, and a power outlet and USB port.

Malaysia Airlines Group Chief Executive Officer Christoph Mueller said: “The new seats and configuration have been designed to give a superb space for work, play or sleep. All of our A330 business class seats will now feature fully flat beds allowing our guests the ultimate in comfort and versatility.

“This product will make us more competitive against other full-service carriers and is part of the airline’s push to be more customer centric, offering new, personalised and innovative products.”
