Dragonair will introduce a new wireless in-flight entertainment (IFE) system on its A320s, which are currently the subject of a major investment to enhance both Business and Economy class experiences.
Labelled StudioKA, the new IFE system allows passengers to watch content on their own personal electronic devices. All they have to do is download the app and connect to the onboard Wi-Fi, and they will then have access to 80 Hollywood and Asian movies, more than 500 Western and Asian television programmes and a wide selection of music albums. In Business Class, passengers will be provided with a tablet device, which will include some additional content.
Dragonair CEO Algernon Yau said: “This ongoing upgrade of our in-flight products demonstrates Dragonair’s commitment to offering a superior travel experience to all our passengers. As the rollout of this suite of products extends further across our fleet, journeys will become even more relaxing and enjoyable. These significant product investments underscore our determination to remain a world-class regional carrier.”
The Hong Kong-based carrier will also introduce new Business and Economy products across its A320 fleet. Bringing Business Class in line with what is offered on the A321s and A330s, each seat will offer an extended recline and an innovative cradle motion that aims to help passengers achieve the optimum position for relaxation during the flight.
The slimline Economy Class seats will feature a four-way movable headrest, two tablet holders – one on the seatback and one on the meal table – and access to a power socket.
